American Apex provides deposition court reporting for attorneys, insurers and corporate legal teams across the country. Our stenographers capture every word, and then we deliver a clean, certified transcript on the schedule you choose.
01 Overview
A deposition only helps your case when the record is complete. That is why we send a stenographic reporter who knows the local rules, arrives early and swears in the witness correctly. During testimony, the reporter tracks speakers, exhibits and objections, so nothing slips through.
Because we schedule nationwide, one coordinator can also book every deposition in a matter, from Miami to Seattle. As a result, your transcripts share one format, one billing contact and one standard of accuracy.

What is included
Every deposition court reporting booking covers the essentials. In addition, you can add the extras below whenever a case calls for them.
Licensed stenographers
Our reporters meet the licensing rules of the state where the deposition happens, so the transcript stands up in court.
Realtime text
Counsel can read testimony as it happens on a laptop or tablet. Then you can flag key answers and plan follow-up questions.
Rough drafts
An uncertified draft arrives soon after the session ends. Meanwhile, the reporter prepares the final certified copy.
Exhibit handling
We mark, scan and attach every exhibit, and the index links each one to the testimony that cites it.
Expedited delivery
Need the transcript sooner? Choose a faster turnaround when you book, and we will confirm the date in writing.
Secure access
Final transcripts and exhibits sit in a protected online repository, so your team can download them at any time.
Draft or final
Both versions come from the same reporter, but they serve different purposes. So it helps to know which one you need before the deposition ends.
| Rough draft | Certified transcript | |
|---|---|---|
| Timing | Arrives soon after the session ends. | Follows on the delivery date you choose when you book. |
| Editing | The reporter has not proofread it yet. | The reporter proofreads it, then certifies every page. |
| Best use | Helps you prepare quickly for the next witness. | Supports motions, filings and use at trial. |
| Official record | No, so avoid citing it in court. | Yes, because the reporter signs and certifies it. |
Ask for both when you book, and then we will plan the delivery dates together.
Every word, every exhibit and every objection belongs in the record. So that is exactly what our reporters capture.
Step by step
From the first call to the final file, one coordinator follows your booking. Meanwhile, the reporter focuses on the record itself.
Booking confirmed
You share the case, date and location. Then we confirm the reporter and any extras in writing.
Early arrival
The reporter arrives before counsel, sets up and checks the room or the remote link.
Every word captured
Testimony, exhibits and objections go into the record as they happen, while realtime text streams on request.
Certified delivery
Finally, you receive the certified transcript, exhibits and any video on the date you chose.
FAQ
How far in advance should I book a court reporter?
Book as early as you can, especially for multi-day or out-of-state depositions. However, we also accept short-notice requests and will tell you right away whether we can cover the date.
What is the difference between a rough draft and a certified transcript?
A rough draft is an unedited version that helps you prepare quickly. In contrast, the certified transcript is the final, proofread record that the reporter signs.
Can the reporter also handle a video deposition?
Yes, we can pair your reporter with one of our legal videographers, so the video and the transcript stay in sync.
Do your reporters follow the federal rules?
Yes, for federal cases, our reporters follow Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 30. They also follow the rules of each state court.
